Wanderlust

If I was a shepherd in the meadows green
I would lose myself to the hues
Like a chameleon I would camouflage
Like a humming bird I would sing

If was a woodcutter in the darkening woods
I would lose my track and loiter around
Encountering the wild and its varied traits
Encountering its endearing appeal

If I was a fairy, none perceived my being
I would go to that forbidden stream
In the middle of a full moon night
And sway with wild roses, in the lustre mystic

But if I am myself, then I have little to do
Gazing at the fields and weeping at my woes
Then one fine morning I spring to life
And choose to awaken the rover in me……
